The Process
1. CONTACT US
Contact us about selling a single item, a collection, or a lifetime of objects – including the house. All consultations are free and performed by our team of experts.
2. PREPARATION
Our team of experts will work with you to sort, catalogue, photograph, appraise and describe each item to be sold. We’ll then upload the sale to our website and auction partners.
3. AUCTION
Depending on the number of lots, your items may be included in one of our gallery auctions or featured as a stand-alone sale. Bids are accepted for up to 14 days, maximizing the value you receive for each lot sold. After the sale closes, Alex Cooper collects payment and can recommend delivery and shipping.
4. PROCEEDS
After the sale, we’ll handle all item removal from the property and provide a settlement check within 30 business days. This approach maximizes the value you receive while minimizing time and costs

You can choose between an informal verbal consultation or a detailed type-written appraisal by our certified Graduate Personal Property Appraiser. We offer 90 years of experience with antiques including: furniture, fine and decorative arts, porcelain and glass, silver, jewelry, coins and stamps, and collectibles of all kinds.
We’ll give you a quick, accurate assessment of what the market will bear. We also offer arrangements to take your items to auction. Alex Cooper’s estate gallery sales are renowned throughout the auction industry. Collectors and dealers around the world follow our auctions closely, so we have the ability to find motivated buyers looking for the items you have to sell. And, as a member of the National Auctioneers Association, your property will be in the hands of a trusted professional.
Real Estate Appraisal & Auction
Our Estate Specialists can accurately assess the value of your home, so you’ll know what price to expect. Alex Cooper will aggressively market your property. Many of the homes we advertise for auction are presold before the day of sale. If necessary, Alex Cooper can auction a home quickly – which can be particularly helpful if money is needed to cover medical expenses or the cost of assisted living.
If a traditional brokerage sale is preferred, as licensed real estate agents, Alex Cooper can multiple list your property. In addition, we have a network of buyers who are interested in older, “fixer upper” properties. Either way, we do our utmost to get the best price for your home.
